DS&P Insurance was founded in 1981 by partners Bob Schutz and Steve Pohl. At the time, they had five employees and a modest book of business. Having both begun their careers insuring contractors, they began by writing what they knew best: the construction industry. With a lot of hard work and a reputation of honesty and integrity, they quickly became known as one of the foremost insurance agencies in the Chicagoland area. Over the next three decades they would grow their agency from five employees to a team of over 40 insurance experts. They have since diversified from their construction roots to also insure professional organizations, manufacturing, banking, food processing, printing, and more. Today, DS&P still maintains their focus on technical expertise, commitment to service and, foremost, integrity.
